Paro ( Good Earth )
Interning with Paro under Good Earth for 3 weeks taught me a lot about design, the fashion industry, marketing and a lot of life skills. I got a deeper understanding of design and how a company builds on its signature styles while being fashionable and also keeping their customers happy. I helped research eco printing, found inspiration for the upcoming winter and spring collections, created mood boards, fabric boards, sorted out left over fabric, arranged threads and fabrics in a colour coded order, came up with individual piece names and did photography for the July collection, visited the store to gather information on sales for that month, created a brooch purely out of left over fabrics and personally interacted with the men and women doing the cutting, stitching and embroidery for Paro.
